The prospect draft will be held 15 minutes after the player draft.The player draft will be on Yahoo,and you may choose ANY players you want,prospect or not.IF a player you choose in the player draft does not play in the NHL,you will either have to keep him on your roster or send him down to the prospect roster,so be cautious choosing players in the regular draft!
The prospect draft will be held on this forum,and you will have 45 seconds to make your pick.There will be 10 rounds,and you will only be able to select prospects.
The criteria for a prospect is the player must have played 40 games or less in the NHL.Once that player plays his 40th game,you MUST add him to your pro roster,or he becomes a free agent,and anybody may sign him.
You may use Yahoo's player pool as a guide for the prospect draft,and we will make a list of any prospects that are drafted in the player draft,so they don't get drafted twice.I'd suggest making a list of prospects to use as a guide,since many prospects aren't in the Yahoo data base.There are several resources for prospects including ESPN,NHL.com,Elite prospects,The Hockeynews,ETC.Please do your homework,and be PREPARED!
If you aren't at the prospect draft,you will have to choose from whoever is left AFTER the draft,so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be present,and do what you have to do to be there!
If you miss a pik at the prospect draft,you will give that pik up,and have to wait until after the draft and sign a free agent,so again,PLEASE be present,and prepared!!!
